25hours Hotel The Trip Overview

First Impressions

Walking into 25hours Hotel The Trip, you immediately know this isn’t your typical business hotel. The lobby feels more like a creative co-working space mixed with a vintage travel lounge — there are old suitcases stacked as art pieces and maps covering the walls. It’s quirky without trying too hard, which honestly makes sense given the brand’s reputation for design-forward properties. The staff greets you with genuine smiles rather than corporate politeness, and you can tell right away this four-star place has personality.

Location & Getting Around

The Bahnhofsviertel location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things in Frankfurt. Yes, it’s the red-light district, but during the day it’s just a bustling neighborhood with great restaurants and easy transit connections. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, which means you can catch trains anywhere in Germany without dealing with taxis or complicated transfers. The hotel offers parking on-site, which — trust me — is a huge deal in this part of the city where street parking is basically impossible.

The Room Experience

My room had this travel-themed design that could’ve been cheesy but somehow worked perfectly. Think vintage postcards as wallpaper and furniture that looks like it came from different decades of travel. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the bathroom had this great rainfall shower that actually delivered decent water pressure. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — plenty of outlets near the bed, blackout curtains that actually block light, and a mini-fridge that doesn’t charge you a fortune for using it.

Food & Social Spaces

The breakfast buffet surprised me in the best way possible. Instead of the usual hotel spread of sad pastries and watery coffee, they actually put effort into local specialties and fresh ingredients. The restaurant area doubles as a social hub throughout the day, and I noticed quite a few locals dropping by for drinks in the evening. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels connected to the actual neighborhood rather than existing in a tourist bubble.

Why Guests Love It

You know what really stands out? The repeat guest factor here is unusually high, and after staying a few nights, I get why. It’s that rare combination of being professionally run without feeling sterile or corporate. Couples seem to particularly enjoy the vibe — it’s romantic without being overly formal, and the location gives you easy access to both Frankfurt’s business district and its more interesting cultural spots. The design keeps things fun, the service feels personal, and honestly, the whole experience just makes you want to plan another trip back to Frankfurt sooner rather than later.

Reviews of 25hours Hotel The Trip

  • Werner from Switzerland – 19 March 2025 (9/10)

The brand speaks for itself – young, fresh, unique. Love it. Also the open Mini Bar is unique and refreshing.

What could be improved: all perfect – except the location in the midst of Frankfurts least desirable area full of drug addicts close to the main train station.

  • Valerii from Spain – 11 March 2025 (8/10)

Clean rooms and nice gesture of offering a minibar as a welcome.

What could be improved: Staff entered the room while it had a “don’t disturb” tag and a high price for a pet.

  • שמואל from Japan – 8 March 2025 (7/10)

Very nice hotel and service but the location is a disaster

What could be improved: Location in a neighborhood that has gone bad, not Safe to walk around

  • Richard from Germany – 8 March 2025 (8/10)

    Good humoured reception staff

  • Justin from United Kingdom – 14 February 2025 (9/10)

The ambience was different and not like a typical hotel which I liked, and the room was also good. The beds were comfy and even better was the minibar was free, though I did not use it fully. I forgot my cap and housekeeping safely collected it and it was handed over to me later when I returned for collection. The bathrooms/toilets were neat and clean. A dental kit and shaving kit were available on request. Overall a good opinion except for a few things mentioned below.

What could be improved: The breakfast menu/choice was not so great, fruits in the fruit basket were rotten. It is obvious that the tables are used by people one after the other but if the tables were cleaned after every use it would not be such an obvious feeling. The check-in could be better, it took me around 10 minutes to get checked in, however, the front office staff is quite courteous and welcoming.

  • Vibha from India – 20 January 2025 (8/10)

The rooftop sauna, our room, the shower products, breakfast, The staff. The vibe. The room, access. Everything!!! Love love love

What could be improved: The crowd around the corner.

  • Maria from Netherlands – 2 January 2025 (8/10)

Nice hotel with very friendly staff that gives honest advice about the whereabouts and help with travel arrangements, public transport etc. Pleasant to have restaurant in the building with nice music, especially in the evenings.

What could be improved: Although the neighbourhood is a bit rough it is still a safe and pleasant place also to get there.

  • Nina from Finland – 25 November 2024 (8/10)

The bed and hotel is very nice and short walking to exhibition centre.

What could be improved: The breakfast was chaotic and not well organized. The first morning was awful due that. So it was not good price&quality I felt that when paying 1000 EUR for 3 nights. I should get better service for that! I saw every morning people to be disappointed for the breakfast service!
Outside hotel the area is still full of people who are using drugs and so on but this is more city's problem than hotel's.

  • Chun-che from United States – 1 October 2024 (9/10)

    The room is super cozy!

What could be improved: The location is good and convenient, but it’s not the safest place to be in Frankfurt during night time

  • Claire from United Kingdom – 18 September 2024 (9/10)

This wasn't my first choice of hotel but we had little choice as there was no availability close to the Messe when we looked to book last minute. It's a very quirky and different hotel and not somewhere I would have chosen.
We booked the Pisac suite, it was fabulous.
Set on two levels with a seating, dining and kitchen area which were really comfortable and meant we were able to relax when we returned each day.
The bathroom was also lovely with a great shower and his n hers sinks, wonderful toiletries and little extras.
It really was a great space, more like an apartment.
The restaurant for breakfast was lovely and we also ate dinner there one evening, having seen how busy and popular it was with both hotel guests and others.
The staff were all very helpful and polite and the hotel was clean and well equipped. I would definitely stay here again.

What could be improved: Unfortunately the electric blind control was missing when we arrived, having mentioned this to the housekeeper it was replaced the later that day, and one blind was opened halfway. The new control appeared to be broken, or new batteries were needed and the blinds remained mostly closed, meaning there was very little to no natural light from the large windows, during our stay. It was a real pity as it would have been perfect if there had been natural light available from the two large windows.
Sadly and really shocking, the area around and directly outside the hotel is full of homeless people and drug selling and taking in plain sight, making it quite uncomfortable and a little intimidating. However there was a high police presence, who did a good job of continuously moving them on in a never ending cycle.
