Studiohouse Frankfurt Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Studiohouse Frankfurt, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The building sits quietly on Cranachstraße in Sachsenhausen, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — it feels more like discovering a well-kept secret than checking into another cookie-cutter place. The four-star property has this understated elegance that I really appreciated, especially after dealing with the usual chaos of getting into Frankfurt. This boutique approach to hospitality sets the tone for your entire stay.
The Sachsenhausen Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually in one of Frankfurt’s most authentic neighborhoods, not stuck in some sterile business district. Sachsenhausen has this great mix of traditional apple wine taverns and modern spots, and you can walk to the Main River in about five minutes. The couples who stay here clearly get it (they rate the location 9.5, which honestly makes sense), because you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist crowds. Plus, there’s free parking on site, which — trust me — is gold in Frankfurt. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of local living.
The Room Experience
The studio-style room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed, with clean lines and everything you actually need without feeling cluttered. What struck me was how they managed to make a compact space feel open and functional. The kitchenette area is well-equipped if you want to grab groceries from the nearby shops, and the bed was genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable. The bathroom was modern and spacious, which you don’t always get in European city hotels. Every detail reflects careful planning and attention to guest comfort.
Getting Around
You know what’s great about staying here? The public transport connections are solid without being overwhelming. There’s a tram stop nearby that gets you to the city center quickly, and if you’re flying out, the airport connection is straightforward. I actually walked across the river to the old town one evening, and it’s a pleasant 15-minute stroll that takes you right through some of Frankfurt’s most picturesque areas. The neighborhood itself has plenty of dining options — from traditional German fare to international cuisine. Exploring on foot becomes one of the highlights of your visit.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.9 rating really reflects what this place does well — it’s reliable, comfortable, and positioned perfectly for both business and leisure travelers. Recent guests consistently praise the location (9.6 rating), and after staying here, I understand why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real Frankfurt life while still having easy access to everything you need as a visitor. The staff was helpful without being intrusive, and the whole experience felt more personal than what you’d get at larger hotels. If you want to stay somewhere that feels authentically Frankfurt rather than generically international, this is your spot. The restaurant and apartment-style amenities round out an exceptional offering.
Exploring Frankfurt offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Germany’s financial heart, from its towering skyscrapers to its charming old town and world-renowned cultural scene.

What could be improved: Leider der affe lampe funktioniert nicht ☹️Nina from United States – 16 February 2025 (9/10)
Very large and comfortable modern room. Lots of windows and light. Comfy chair for lounging as well as a table with chairs. I didn't really explore the kitchen – but it seemed well equipped. Very pretty and well-located part of Frankfurt. Friendly and welcoming staff. Direct tram to the messe.
What could be improved: The wifi was having some problems – but I'm sure it will be sorted out. I was surprised that no one came to clean the room.. but it was fine (just it might help to give a little explanation at the time of check-in).Keithhockly from Australia – 10 January 2025 (9/10)
We booked 2 studio apartments for a 5-day stay in Frankfurt for ourselves and our relatives. The apartments were modern, well designed and comfortable, with a small but well equipped kitchenette compact bathroom and comfortable bed. The location is excellent. The apartment is near the Schweizer Strasse where there's a supermarket, several bakeries, shops, cafes and restaurants. It's close to public transport, and just a short walk to the alt stadt and the apfelwein district.
What could be improved: Note that there is no housekeeping and they will try to charge you €15 for a towel change!Keithhockly from Australia – 10 January 2025 (9/10)

The location was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Very comfortable overall.
What could be improved: Only little things, like the reading lights weren't attached to the wall properly, the shower would randomly start dripping in the night and one of the lights randomly started turning itself off and on.Katherine from United States – 27 October 2023 (9/10)
Peaceful residential block a 3 minute walk away from transit, grocery stores, and convenience stores. Stylish lobby and room decor with contemporary photography, great color scheme, very airy layout. Ute who runs the place goes above and beyond to be helpful. Compact and functional kitchen makes meals easy. Comfortable place to return to after a long day of meetings.
What could be improved: The wifi dropped a few times.
