The Room Experience

The room I stayed in struck that sweet spot between modern comfort and character that’s surprisingly hard to find. You know how some hotels go overboard with either sterile minimalism or trying-too-hard quirkiness? This place doesn’t do that. The design feels thoughtful without being fussy, and everything actually works the way it should — which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case.   The location was excellent, 20 minutes walk from the main central train station, very close to the main shopping center and great bars and restaurants nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Digital access with mobile phone app, but on Saturday evening on our door access, it did not work and we called the number provided to be told that security would need to come to open the doors at a cost of €80!!!! We went around to the other door and we were able to get in. So we were being charged for a digital issue on an outside door which was not our fault. I also messaged twice during the stay with an issue with Wifi and the TV remote control and got no answer during our 3 day stay.

  What could be improved: We had room 102 , think it was one of the smaller ones. The images on booking.com show all the rooms regardless of which one you book , 102 didn’t have an outdoor table and chairs like the others. Was there for 2 nights could have done with more than 2 coffee pods for 2 people. Lastly do not fly into Frankfurt Hahn (ITS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR FRANKFURT) it’s a nightmare getting to and from Frankfurt

  Location is great. Staff is very friendly. We had a large kitchen sitting area. The place would have been convenient for someone staying for an extended period of time. We only stayed two nights.
  
  What could be improved: The booking agreement states that you will receive a call the day oh checking in. We received no call. We called after 15:00 to receive instructions (in German) about the process of checking in. The place has two entrances. The keys are offered at the reception side and then we had to walk around the block to enter on the opposite side.
  
  Place appeared clean, but on closer inspection hand towels in kitchen were not clean. Glassware questionable. Floors were swept, did not appear vacuumed
  
  They said that there would be snacks on the reception area in the morning. The first morning there was nothing. The next day there were some baked goods. That’s it. No fruit no juice.

  Great, centrally located apartment. Easy to get to from the airport and main train station. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars in close proximity. The finishes and amenities in the apartment are excellent.
