Manhattan Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Manhattan Hotel on Düsseldorfer Strasse, you immediately get that classic European city hotel vibe — nothing flashy, but everything feels solid and well-thought-out. The lobby has this understated elegance that works perfectly for a four-star property in Frankfurt‘s Bahnhofsviertel district. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of the financial capital, so the slightly business-focused atmosphere makes complete sense here.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re right in the thick of things without the chaos of being directly on the main tourist drag. The Bahnhofsviertel gets a bit of a rough reputation, but honestly, it’s just urban and real, which I actually appreciate. You can walk to the main train station in about five minutes, and the banking district is practically on your doorstep. For couples especially (and the ratings back this up), there’s something romantic about being able to stroll along the Main River or pop into one of those cozy wine bars nearby without needing transportation.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid four-star — clean lines, comfortable bed, and a bathroom that actually had decent water pressure. Nothing groundbreaking, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The windows are well-insulated, which matters more than you’d think given that you’re in a busy part of the city. I slept well, and the air conditioning worked without sounding like a freight train. The furnishings are modern and practical, designed for both leisure and business travelers who appreciate quality without unnecessary frills.
Breakfast & Dining
The continental breakfast setup is pretty standard European fare — good bread, decent coffee, fresh fruit, and the usual selection of cold cuts and cheeses. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll definitely fuel you for a day of exploring Frankfurt’s museums or business meetings. The restaurant area has this warm, welcoming feel that makes lingering over coffee actually pleasant rather than rushed. Staff members are attentive and knowledgeable about local dining recommendations.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Manhattan Hotel is how it delivers on the fundamentals without trying to be something it’s not. The staff seems genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and there’s easy parking nearby if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably won’t need a car much in this location). The 7.3 rating feels about right — it’s a dependable choice that won’t disappoint, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable base to explore Frankfurt from. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the combination of urban energy and intimate scale. The hotel maintains high standards for cleanliness and maintenance throughout all areas. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this property consistently delivers reliable service and comfort.
Early hotels booking in Frankfurt requires advance planning during peak business seasons when visitors flock to see the city’s impressive financial infrastructure and cultural attractions.

Reviews of Manhattan Hotel
Wannapon from United Kingdom – 3 April 2025 (6/10)
Cleanliness and facilities in the room.
What could be improved: Frankfurt station is quite large so you have to cross couples of zebra crossing before reaching the hotel. I would say the hotel looks better in the photo than in the reality so do not expect much.Aleksandr from Georgia – 17 February 2025 (7/10)
Small room

What could be improved: It was basic, but we had all we neededHeidy from Germany – 10 December 2024 (8/10)
Staff is amazing 😊. The beds are comfy and the location is near everything.
What could be improved: At night it was bit scary walking outside of the hotel.Alan from Germany – 23 November 2024 (7/10)
The room was big and clean. Even though my room was facing the street in the first floor, I could not hear anything inside the room at all. The bed was comfortable and I like that there is no carpet at all.
What could be improved: Several lights were not working, very few wall plugs to charge phone laptop etc. Shower gel only offered on request.Abdul from United Kingdom – 14 November 2024 (8/10)
This hotel was the most affordable and excellent option near the central station, and we were pleasantly surprised by its maintenance. The room was clean and comfortable, offering a lovely view of the main street. Additionally, the staff was very courteous.
What could be improved: Wife not staying in our room.Daniel from Germany – 27 October 2024 (8/10)
This hotel was the cheapest and best option around the central station, and we were pleasantly surprised how well it was maintained. The room was clean and comfortable and provided a nice view of the main street. Staff were nice as well.
What could be improved: The area is not great, and it's rather scary to go out of the hotel after sunset, as there are many junkies around, but that's Frankfurt. The lift in the hotel could be a bit bigger.Merabi from Georgia – 2 May 2022 (8/10)
It's very beautiful, cozy hotel, well furnished.
