Hotel Bliss Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Bliss on Mainzer Landstraße, you immediately sense this four-star property has found its rhythm. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between professional and welcoming — not trying too hard to impress, but clearly run by people who know what they’re doing. I mean, when you see the same faces checking in again (and the staff mentioned they have way more repeat guests than usual), that tells you something right there.
Location & Neighborhood
The Gallusviertel location is honestly brilliant if you know Frankfurt at all. You’re close enough to the financial district that business travelers can actually walk to meetings, but far enough from the tourist chaos around Römerberg to feel like you’re experiencing the real city. Mainzer Landstraße itself is one of those streets that connects everything — the main train station is easily reachable, and you can hop on public transport without the usual Frankfurt crowds. Couples seem to particularly love this spot, probably because it feels more residential and authentic than staying right in the banking district.
The Room Experience
The rooms at Hotel Bliss are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. Everything works properly (which, honestly, isn’t always a given), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable — and the bathrooms have that clean, modern feel without being sterile. You know what I appreciated most? The windows actually open, so you can get some fresh air instead of being trapped in recycled hotel atmosphere all night.
Breakfast & Daily Rhythms
The breakfast buffet here is solid without being overwhelming. They’ve clearly figured out what people actually want in the morning rather than just piling on options for the sake of it. Fresh bread, proper coffee, and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. The dining area has this relaxed vibe where you can actually sit and plan your day without feeling rushed — something I’ve noticed the repeat guests particularly seem to value.
Why Guests Love It
What makes Hotel Bliss work is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a well-run, comfortable place that understands Frankfurt travelers — whether you’re here for business, exploring the city, or using it as a base for the region. The staff genuinely seem to care about getting the details right, and that shows in everything from how smoothly check-in goes to the way they handle the small requests that can make or break a stay. The fact that so many people come back speaks volumes — in a city with plenty of hotel options, that kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident.

Reviews of Hotel Bliss
Generally recommended. – Emilia from Poland – 16 June 2025 (7/10)
Very friendly employees, good location (close to the railway station), clean rooms, not expensive when booked in advance, quiet, luggage storage.
What could be improved: Not working fridges in rooms (it is possible to use the fridge at the reception), a lot of drug addicts around, AC was not cooling enough.Nice rooms – Alexandra from Canada – 12 June 2025 (8/10)
Comfortable spacious room. Close to train station and center. Had a safe place to store our bikes.
What could be improved: Not the safest area, lots of homeless and drug addicts. Modern furnishing but could use some maintenance.A bit scary to stay there as a woman travelling alone and having no wifi access irritated me. – Saba from Germany – 31 May 2025 (6/10)
The room was clean the bed was comfortable
What could be improved: The wifi did not work. The receptionist could not help either. The location of the hotel is a bit dubious and a guest from the hotel made a remark to me right outside the hotel which scared me. I did mot feel at ease until I came in the room later on.Good – Karine from Canada – 4 November 2024 (7/10)
The hotel itself is great. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, black out blinds, a desk, and fridge. As long as you're inside it's fine
What could be improved: Although it is close to the main train station, the area was very sketchy. Many drug addicts using on the street, people selling drugs, weighing their drugs at the local supermarket. I felt very unsafe in the areaVery good – Pyae from Myanmar – 13 July 2024 (8/10)
good
Very good – Kensuke from Japan – 20 April 2024 (8/10)
Good location and clean room
What could be improved: A bit noise door of bath roomGood stay. – Vi from Greece – 18 March 2024 (7/10)
Hotel was nice in general. A little close to the train station, which is a little bit in a not so good area.
Hotel staff was nice. But the room had broken things, like the toilet cap was broken and was very visible.
What could be improved: Some maintenance could have been made in the rooms.Very good – Amenouche from Algeria – 4 December 2023 (8/10)
Good location near the main train station hauptbahnhof,
Great room with a nice view
What could be improved: No break fast at the level of the hotelGood short stay , comfy beds and clean. – Stephen from Canada – 16 October 2023 (8/10)
Use this hotel a lot when I visit Frankfurt, a consistent good experience.
What could be improved: Starting to show signs of wear and tear, maybe time for a refresh on the rooms. Bathrooms especially are looking worse for wear,The Hotel asks extra money – Afshin from Germany – 23 June 2023 (7/10)
The positive aspect is that the hotel is situated in a convenient location with easy accessibility from the train station. Additionally, it was well-maintained and clean.
What could be improved: Firstly, we were charged additional fees by the hotel despite the booking confirmation on Booking.com stating that no extra payments were required at the hotel. Furthermore, the check-in process was not smooth as the clerk initially claimed that we hadn't registered for a room, even though we had already made a payment through Booking.com. Additionally, the room we were assigned had two separate beds instead of the king-size bed we had requested during the booking process.
