Adler Hotel Frankfurt Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to the Adler Hotel Frankfurt, you’ll find yourself right in the thick of things on Niddastrasse. This three-star spot sits in the Bahnhofsviertel district, which — let’s be honest — isn’t the prettiest part of Frankfurt, but it’s incredibly practical. The hotel itself has that straightforward German efficiency you’d expect, nothing fancy but clearly well-maintained. I mean, sometimes you just need a solid place to sleep without all the bells and whistles, right?

Location Reality Check

Here’s the thing about staying in Bahnhofsviertel — you’re literally minutes from Frankfurt’s main train station, which makes getting anywhere ridiculously easy. Sure, the neighborhood has its rough edges (it’s known for its red-light district), but during the day it’s perfectly fine, and honestly, the convenience factor is huge. You can walk to the financial district, catch trains to anywhere in Germany, and there are actually some decent Turkish and international eateries scattered around. The couples who rated this place highly probably appreciated being able to explore the city so easily on foot.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star — clean, functional, with decent-sized windows that actually opened (always a plus in German hotels). The beds are comfortable enough, and there’s adequate storage space for a few days’ worth of clothes. What I appreciated was the reliable WiFi and the fact that everything worked properly — the shower had good pressure, the heating responded quickly, and the soundproofing was better than I expected given the busy street location. Nothing groundbreaking, but no unpleasant surprises either.

Breakfast and Parking Perks

The breakfast buffet is actually pretty decent — standard German fare with fresh bread, cold cuts, cheese, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours. They usually have some fruit and yogurt options too, which is nice. What really sets this place apart though is the private parking situation. If you’re driving in Frankfurt (which, honestly, most people shouldn’t), having guaranteed parking at your hotel is worth its weight in gold. The city center parking is a nightmare and expensive, so this is a real advantage.

Why Guests Love It

Look, the Adler Hotel Frankfurt isn’t going to win any design awards, but it delivers exactly what it promises. You’re paying for location and reliability, and you get both. The staff speaks English well, check-in is efficient, and you can literally walk to most of Frankfurt’s main attractions. For couples especially, it’s nice to have that central base where you can easily pop back to freshen up or drop off shopping bags. The 8.1 rating makes sense — it’s not perfect, but it’s dependable, well-located, and reasonably priced for what you get in Frankfurt’s city center.

The luxury concierge service in Frankfurt offers personalized access to private banking tours, Michelin-starred dining, and VIP cultural experiences in this international financial hub.

Reviews of Adler Hotel Frankfurt

  • Hary from Indonesia – 2 April 2025 (9/10)

The location is strategic, close to main station and many shops. There is private garage only 17euro/day. staff is helpful.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Petra from Cambodia – 30 March 2025 (9/10)

Central Location, very friendly staff , great breakfast
Would have enjoyed a water kettle to make some tea in the evening

  • Alan from United States – 29 March 2025 (8/10)

    Clean room

What could be improved: Not enough soap.
    Poop on your sidewalk.
    No espresso.
No one at the desk at 7:05 am.

  • Nikolay from Germany – 16 March 2025 (9/10)

The personnel is always friendly, attentive and helpful. Clean room, good breakfast; the staff is trying to helping you find a suitable hotel room and is always in touch.

  • Paul from Romania – 10 March 2025 (8/10)

The hotel is located 3 minutes away walking distance from the train station and 15 minutes away from the city centre. The room was clean and the heating was perfect. The breakfast was so-so, but nevertheless it was ok, nothing to special.

What could be improved: As others said, the location, although 15 minutes away walking from the city centre, is sketchy. Weird people are always near the entrance of the hotel and in the nearby area. As long as you mind tour business and don’t give them attention is ok, but still, a rough neighbourhood.

  • Nikolay from Germany – 9 February 2025 (9/10)

The stuff is friendly and hospitable. we always use this hotel for staying in Frankfurt as it is located not far from the exhibition centre; you can also use the cancellation in case changing of plans.
    Good breakfast and clean rooms.

  • John from Ireland – 5 February 2025 (9/10)

Top marks for daily cleaning of room and professional of all staff.

  • Lindrie from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (9/10)

That I was able to park and it was close to the city centre.
Check-in was simple and navigating the hotel was easy.

What could be improved: The area is very rough. A lot of homeless and unsavoury characters hanging about outside. Another issue was the lack of Tea and Coffee making facilities.

  • Gábor from Hungary – 29 January 2025 (8/10)

Great hotel close to the train station. At night, the area is most like Mordor, but seriously. For me, there was no question that the most expensive parking of my life at 17EUR was worth it 😊 Our room was quiet, although not soundproof. There was no noise at all. Everything was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable. We also had breakfast, it was very tasty and satisfying. We stayed here for one night while passing through, it was a perfect choice.

    .Staff, central location, cleanliness.

What could be improved: Migrants wandering and loitering on the streets
