Ramada by Wyndham Frankfurt Central Station Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ramada by Wyndham Frankfurt Central Station, you immediately get that “this works” feeling — nothing fancy, but everything’s where it should be. The lobby has a clean, modern vibe without trying too hard, and honestly, after a long travel day, that’s exactly what you want. The staff actually seems to know what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given at three-star properties. The check-in process is straightforward and efficient, setting a positive tone for your stay. The reception area maintains professional standards while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about staying in Bahnhofsviertel — yes, it’s the train station district, but that’s precisely why it works so well. You’re literally steps from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, which means you can dump your bags and be exploring the city center in minutes. Couples are rating this location 8.1 out of 10 for good reason. The neighborhood gets a bit gritty at night (it’s a train station area, after all), but during the day it’s bustling with energy and incredibly practical for getting around Frankfurt. Public transport connections are excellent from this central position, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was surprisingly quiet considering we’re talking about a hotel next to one of Germany’s busiest train stations. The soundproofing actually works — something I wasn’t expecting. Everything’s functional rather than flashy: decent-sized bed, clean bathroom, and enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi is solid, and there are plenty of outlets for charging all your devices, which honestly matters more than fancy decor when you’re traveling. Modern amenities are thoughtfully integrated throughout, ensuring comfort during your entire stay.
Breakfast and Practical Perks
The continental breakfast buffet is well-executed with fresh bread, decent coffee, and enough variety to fuel your day without breaking the bank. What I really appreciated was the early start time — perfect when you need to catch a morning train or want to beat the crowds at Frankfurt’s museums. There’s also parking available, which is genuinely useful if you’re driving in the city (though I’d recommend using public transport once you’re settled). The breakfast area is comfortable and welcoming, providing a pleasant start to each morning of your visit.
Why Guests Love It
You know what makes this place work? It’s honest about what it is — a solid, reliable base for exploring Frankfurt without the premium price tag. The location score of 8.3 isn’t just marketing fluff; you really can walk to the financial district, hop on the S-Bahn to the airport, or catch a tram to Sachsenhausen for apple wine in under 20 minutes. For business travelers or anyone using Frankfurt as a jumping-off point for other German cities, this Ramada delivers exactly what you need. The value proposition is genuinely compelling for the price point offered, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers.
Frankfurt’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of German efficiency and modern comfort, with many featuring business concierge services and traditional Hessian hospitality.

Reviews of Ramada by Wyndham Frankfurt Central Station
Joan from Ireland – 10 December 2024 (8/10)
Comfortable room, central location and tea-making facilities in room. Extra Pillows in wardrobe was thoughtful extra.

Room was clean. Quite spacious. Close to the train/bus station. Shower was good too. Staff friendly at both hotels.
What could be improved: Sadly, we didn't actually stay here. They'd double booked out room so we stayed at the sister hotel (Comfort Hotel), so have rated that one instead. If we had booked that one, we'd have been happy with our booking. Did feel a bit aggrieved that we paid for a higher rated hotel but ended up in a lower rated one. No discount was offered despite price being lower at Comfort Hotel and it was booking/hotel fault, not ours. Didn't query this at the time as we'd spent 11 hours travelling and just wanted to get out to the markets.Verena from Netherlands – 11 November 2024 (7/10)
The hotel is close to the main train station as well to the centre. The breakfast was small but sufficient.
What could be improved: We had a total of three rooms; two had a very old carpet and one new laminat flooring. The bathroom was already a bit worn out but overall ok.Ayman from Egypt – 7 November 2024 (8/10)

Location
What could be improved: No restrooms available in Reception/ Lobby Area for waiting guests.Natacha from New Zealand – 7 September 2024 (6/10)
The location was very convenient for us, with the train station just a block away. Clean sheets and towels.
What could be improved: The room was dark and dingy, seemed like a cleaning cabinet was made into a room. Also very dated decor.Daniel from Italy – 28 August 2024 (8/10)
5th stay here. Rooms are always better when you are given a double room than a single room. Nice spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom 5/10 mins walk from HBF lots of restaurants nearby

Easy going staff and all night reception
What could be improved: It’s a busy location so there was a bit of noise but nothing mad.Marina from New Zealand – 10 June 2024 (7/10)
Spacious room, beautiful bathroom with single bed, coffee and tea making facilities in the room and lovely breakfast area which was a restaurant at night. Helpful and engaging staff opened door if like me you use a walker for mobility. Only two blocks back from Frankfurt Railway station and easy to get too along Kaiserstrasse where the good eateries were and where including but not limited to the Kakadu Sports Bar and Cafe and Saigon Restaurant.
What could be improved: Could do with a non slip mat available for the shower box.
