Numa Frankfurt Oben Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Numa Frankfurt Oben on Kreuznacherstr, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical corporate hotel chain. The building has that understated German efficiency vibe — clean lines, no fuss, but somehow still welcoming. It’s tucked into Bockenheim, which honestly feels more like a real neighborhood than a tourist zone, and that’s exactly what I loved about it. You know what strikes me most? The fact that so many guests come back here repeatedly — there’s definitely something they’re doing right that keeps people returning.
The Bockenheim Advantage
Here’s the thing about staying in Bockenheim — you’re actually living like locals do, not just passing through. Frankfurt can feel pretty corporate in the main areas, but this neighborhood has character. There are proper German bakeries within walking distance, and you’ll find yourself on tree-lined streets that feel surprisingly peaceful for such a major financial hub. Couples seem to particularly love this area (I mean, they rate it 8.5 out of 10), and I get why — it’s got that authentic residential feel while still being well-connected to the city center.
Sleep Quality That Actually Matters
I’ll be honest — hotel beds can be hit or miss, but this three-star place has figured something out that many pricier hotels haven’t. The beds here are genuinely comfortable, not just “hotel comfortable.” After walking around Frankfurt all day, sinking into one of these beds feels like a small victory. The room itself is clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. Sometimes that’s all you really need, especially when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway.
What Sets It Apart
The location rating speaks for itself — recent guests consistently rate it 8.6 out of 10, which is pretty impressive for any hotel. But what really caught my attention is how many people choose to stay here again and again. That tells you something about the overall experience that goes beyond just having a decent room and good location. The staff seems to understand that travelers want reliability and comfort without unnecessary complications, and they deliver on that consistently.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, dependable choice in a neighborhood that gives you a real taste of Frankfurt life. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or fancy amenities you probably won’t use — instead, you’re getting quality sleep, a great location, and the kind of straightforward hospitality that makes you want to come back. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having a comfortable base in a genuine neighborhood rather than being stuck in the touristy center. It’s the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, wake up refreshed, and head out to explore the city feeling like you’ve made a smart choice.
The concierge service in Frankfurt can arrange exclusive tours of the banking district, secure opera tickets, and organize day trips to the scenic Rhine Valley.

Reviews of Numa Frankfurt Oben
Zinaida from Germany – 7 April 2025 (9/10)
location close to the Frankfurt West Station is excellent. The apartment is cozy and well equipped. The price is value for money. The balcony felt like a nice surprise.
What could be improved: There was a bug or a silverfish in the sink in the bathroomScott from Australia – 7 March 2025 (9/10)
The location of my apartment away from the railway line. The room had absolutely everything I needed. This is my 2nd visit to these apartments and this time it surpassed my expectations.
What could be improved: ZipIda from Finland – 8 February 2025 (9/10)
Room was comfortable and spacious. I stayed for a month and was happy with everything
Nianias5000 from Greece – 24 January 2025 (9/10)
Great location, close to a super market. Wonderful view of the skyscrapers. Big plus that parking on the surrounding area was free. The room had all the facilities needed for a small trip for vacation.
What could be improved: Could have done a little better job on cleaning. The bedsheets should have been better washed.Pratham from Germany – 1 November 2024 (9/10)
Good location convenient to the S-Bahn, nice clean room with facilities as advertised. Digital check-ins worked flawlessly, including the luggage storage.
Anthony from United Kingdom – 24 September 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was clean, the kitchen was OK and the shower / toilet was good. The bed was very comfortable. I could not get the safe to work.
What could be improved: Lack of a place to use the kettle and coffee maker in the kitchen if you were using the Hob. The fridge didn't have an ice making tray. Because there was no A/C the room it was very warm around night time. The fan only moved warm air around the room which probably made things worse.Adkh from Egypt – 29 September 2023 (7/10)
The location and the view from the balcony.
What could be improved: There is no free room service if you stay less than 8 nights, but rather at extra fees.Vadym from Netherlands – 27 September 2023 (9/10)
Clean, not expensive, close to the station and Rewe, contactless check in and check out, complimentary snacks and drinks. Large bed and lots of pillows 🙂
What could be improved: A little bit noisy when the train passes because of the proximity to the train station.Angela from United States – 28 August 2023 (9/10)
Easy check-in with door code, clean room and bathroom, good water pressure in shower, free communal washer / dryer in the basement. Easy access by train, tram, or bus. Walking distance to multiple restaurants. Customer service is very responsive over text.
What could be improved: The rooms are fairly small and it gets warm in the room during the summer, as there's no air conditioning (but there's a small fan in the room). You can keep the windows open to get some air flow, but then the noise from the trains is super loud. The kitchen is well-equipped, but pretty small (very little counter space and only two burners on the stove). The refrigerator doesn't have a freezer, so can't make ice.Liangfei from China – 1 July 2023 (8/10)
Very near to the Frankfurt exhibition center, supermarket very close.
What could be improved: check out time just one hour later not allowed
