Leonardo Hotel Frankfurt City Center Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Leonardo Hotel Frankfurt City Center, you immediately get that reliable, no-nonsense vibe that makes business travelers and tourists alike feel at ease. It’s a three-star property that honestly punches above its weight — the lobby is clean and modern without trying too hard to impress. The staff actually seems to remember repeat guests, which explains why this place has more returning visitors than most hotels in the area.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about the Bahnhofsviertel — it gets a bad rap, but honestly, it’s one of the most connected parts of Frankfurt. You’re literally minutes from the main train station, which means easy airport connections and quick trips to other German cities. The area has this gritty urban energy that I actually find refreshing after sterile hotel districts. Sure, it’s not the prettiest neighborhood, but couples seem to love the location (they rate it 8.5), probably because everything you need is within walking distance.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star — comfortable bed, decent-sized desk, and a bathroom that’s small but functional. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve been. The windows actually open (rare these days), and if you’re facing the right direction, you get glimpses of Frankfurt’s skyline between the buildings. The furnishings are modern and well-maintained, providing a pleasant retreat after a day of exploring the city.
Practical Perks
What really sold me on this place was the breakfast buffet — it’s substantial enough to fuel you through most of the day if you’re doing the tourist thing. The private parking is a genuine lifesaver if you’re driving in Frankfurt, because finding a spot in this part of the city can be a nightmare. I mean, you’ll pay extra for it, but it’s worth every euro when you’re not circling blocks looking for street parking. The hotel also offers convenient access to public transportation and nearby dining options.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagram-worthy hotel you’ll ever stay in, but it gets the fundamentals right. The location score of 8.5 isn’t just marketing fluff — you really can walk to the financial district, hop on public transport to anywhere in the city, or grab late-night food without much effort. The fact that so many people come back tells you something about the consistency here. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly what you’re getting, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city like Frankfurt. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this hotel delivers reliable service and excellent value.

Staff is amazing both the evening one and the morning one too. He was knowledgeable and although I took the uber to Main tower but unfortunately it was closed for a private event in the evening which was really disappointing. Going back to the hotel feels like it's a safe space and feeling secured. Room had amazing view. Breakfast was nice
What could be improved: I'm not sure what the German police is doing rounding up the people of colour near the main station and on the street at night but it made me feel uncomfortable as I am also coloured.Nitinsuvarna from Germany – 3 April 2025 (9/10)

I stayed here twice already. Some people might not like the surroundings area of Frankfurt hbf but since I am coming for work it’s not a problem for me as long as it is close to train station. Room is clean, no smell, it’s quite compact but I don’t have a problem. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I would come back for another business trip next time.
What could be improved: I didn’t realise the wall is not so thick. I was playing my music early in the morning and the guest next door complained about it.San-amporn from Thailand – 26 February 2025 (8/10)
