ibis Frankfurt Centrum Overview

First Impressions

Walking into ibis Frankfurt Centrum, you immediately get that reliable, no-nonsense vibe that the ibis brand does so well. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — and honestly, that’s refreshing. The lobby is clean and modern without being flashy, and the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing. You can tell this place has figured out the basics really well.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about this spot in Frankfurt — you’re in Gutleutviertel, which might sound intimidating if you don’t speak German, but it’s actually one of the best neighborhoods to stay in. The location score of 8.7 isn’t just marketing fluff; you’re genuinely close to everything that matters. The main train station is a short walk away, which means you can dump your bags and be exploring the city center in minutes. Plus, couples seem to really get this area — they rate it 8.6, and I can see why. There’s something about being near the action but not right in the tourist chaos that just works.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star — compact but thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept well (which doesn’t always happen when traveling), and everything felt clean and updated. You know what impressed me? The little details like decent lighting for reading and enough outlets for all your devices. It’s not going to win any design awards, but it gets the job done without any annoying surprises.

Breakfast and Practical Stuff

The breakfast setup here is honestly better than it needs to be for a three-star. They’ve got continental options, full English breakfast, vegetarian choices, and even gluten-free stuff — basically covering all the bases without making it feel overwhelming. The buffet format works well, and I noticed they keep things stocked throughout the morning rush. Oh, and there’s parking available at the hotel, which in Frankfurt is actually a bigger deal than you might think. Street parking in this area can be a nightmare, so having that option is worth considering if you’re driving.

Why Guests Love It

What really stands out is how many people come back here — there are more repeat guests than most other properties, and that tells you something. I mean, when people choose the same place again in a city with tons of hotel options, they’re doing something right. It’s that sweet spot of being reliable without breaking the bank, plus the location really does make exploring Frankfurt easier. You’re not paying for unnecessary frills, but you’re also not sacrificing the things that actually matter for a good stay.

Reviews of ibis Frankfurt Centrum

  • Royper from United States – 5 April 2025 (7/10)

It's a decent hotel. When I got in the room- the sofa bed was broken. And… it wasn't all that clean. The floor was pretty dirty.
It's a challenge to get to the parking garage if youre driving- and very limited parking on the street. 20 euro per night for the garage. All stairs from the garage to the check I'm counter.
The breakfast is 17 euro- but it was good.

  • Jennie from United Kingdom – 26 March 2025 (8/10)

Bed was very comfortable Room was clean and quiet

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Grabandgo777 from China – 8 January 2025 (7/10)

Location: Close to the river and not far away from the railway station (10~15 min walk), close to public transport. Not sure about parking. Far away enough from the mess of the railway station.
Cosy bed, TV with a wide variety of channels, a decent amount of charging ports around the room and a bed.
Good furnishing that gives a relaxing atmosphere and vibe
Quiet and rather safe despite having a busy sports bar downstairs. Seems like a great place for football fans and anyone who wants a drink.

What could be improved: Overall, the room I'm in is rather less spacious than expected, even just for myself alone. I'm not sure if it's a room intended for two. The bed is big enough for two, but the space of the rest of the room can be a bit a bit limited.
Toilet/shower: a bit dusty in some corners and very small.

  • Ghais from Saudi Arabia – 2 November 2024 (8/10)

The room was extremely small clean with a very good breakfast

  • Demian from France – 21 October 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: All perfect

  • Bahareh from Germany – 25 August 2024 (8/10)

every thing was perfect , the Location ,staff , The cleaning service, especially a man from Afghanistan worked there, I am really satisfied with him

What could be improved: The price of the room was much higher for that room which was very small
You didn't have slippers, that was so bad, I had to buy slippers for the room

  • Hamid from Germany – 24 August 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: Small bathtoom and shower

  • Itamar from Israel – 19 August 2024 (7/10)

Bed was big and comfortable, I had everything I needed including a TV
    Very helpful staff

What could be improved: Room was small and not spacious enough
    Bathroom was very small too

  • S*ndra from United States – 11 August 2024 (8/10)

    Location, design, clenineas

What could be improved: The girl at the reception only answered in German, although I asked questions in English. Luckily I know enough German to understand, but it isn't polite of her

  • K from Germany – 28 July 2024 (8/10)

i liked the cleanliness and coziness of our suite. The value for money was really good!

What could be improved: The elevators could have been better. I preferred to use a staircase instead of waiting for the elevator.
Moreover, there is rooms that end with “21” don’t have windows that open. I had to request a room change because of this inconvenience. Other than that everything was okay.
