Hotel Borger Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel Borger on Triebstraße, you immediately get the sense this is one of those places locals have been quietly recommending for years. It’s a solid three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work so well. The building has that understated German efficiency about it, tucked away in Bergen Enkheim but still very much connected to everything you’d want to see in Frankfurt. The location strikes that rare balance between being genuinely local and genuinely accessible.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I really appreciate about this location — you’re technically in Frankfurt, but you get to experience a quieter side that most tourists never see. Bergen Enkheim has this village-like feel that’s pretty rare for a major German city. You can actually walk to local bakeries and cafes without fighting crowds, but the S-Bahn connections mean you’re still just a quick ride from the financial district or the old town. Couples consistently rate this area highly, and after spending time here, it’s easy to understand why. The neighborhood offers that perfect mix of tranquility and connectivity that savvy travelers seek out.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run German hotel — clean lines, functional furniture, and everything working exactly as it should. Nothing fancy, but the bed was genuinely comfortable and the bathroom had that satisfying German attention to detail where the shower pressure is perfect and the towels are properly thick. The windows actually open (which isn’t always a given), and the neighborhood is quiet enough that you can sleep with them cracked without being woken up by traffic. These practical touches make a real difference in your daily experience.
Practical Matters
The staff here clearly know what they’re doing — check-in was smooth, and they had solid recommendations for both local spots and getting around Frankfurt proper. Parking is available, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re driving in this part of Germany. The hotel doesn’t have a full restaurant, but there are several good options within walking distance, and the breakfast setup (when available) covers the basics well enough. These amenities reflect the hotel’s straightforward approach to hospitality.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Hotel Borger isn’t going to wow you with flashy amenities or designer lobbies, but it delivers on the fundamentals in a way that actually matters when you’re traveling. The location really is excellent — recent guests consistently mention this, and it’s easy to see why. You get authentic German neighborhood life while staying connected to Frankfurt’s main attractions. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re getting genuine value rather than paying for marketing hype. The hotel represents what modern travelers increasingly want: honest quality, practical comfort, and real connection to local life. Sometimes that’s exactly what a trip needs.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Frankfurt at least two months ahead for major events like the Frankfurt Book Fair, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near business centers.

Reviews of Hotel Borger
Editore from Italy – 24 October 2024 (9/10)
The breakfast was good and varied, though a bit pricey (12 euros per person). The staff were very kind and helpful. Everything was very clean, and the spaces were cozy. The location is great—just a five-minute walk from the metro, which takes you directly to the central station in 30 minutes, and to the Messe Hall at the next stop.
What could be improved: I would remove the carpet for hygiene reasons. I would also suggest installing an elevator or a lift to carry luggage to the upper floors.Aleksandrs from Latvia – 2 September 2024 (9/10)
We loved this hotel and our stay: the staff was very friendly and answered all our questions about the means of transport around the city and main attractions.
We liked the free parking and the breakfast options, as well as fast WiFi connection.
The location is perfect: there is a subway nearby and the big shopping mall, as well as grocery shops REWE and LIDL.
What could be improved: Contrary to what the hotel employee told us, the hotel offers a laundry washing service which we found out about by accidentally locating the "laundry bag" in the closet on our check out day.Bianca from Romania – 30 June 2024 (9/10)
The room was very clean.
What could be improved: It did't had airconditioning and the breakfast was only until 9amAnne from Germany – 26 May 2024 (9/10)

Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was very nice, even helping us practice our German instead of defaulting to English when they heard our accents.
Location was close to tram line to city center and also very close to the music venue we were attending.
What could be improved: Nothing. It was all great.Trevor from United Kingdom – 2 August 2023 (9/10)

The breakfast was excellent – one of the best I've had while traveling in Europe. The cleanliness of the room and property was exceptional. The hotel was co-located with both a restaurant and a small grocery store which made for convenient shopping.
What could be improved: No complaints at all.Daniela from United Kingdom – 14 September 2022 (9/10)
