Goethe Business Hotel by Trip Inn Overview
First Impressions
The Goethe Business Hotel by Trip Inn sits quietly on Schmidtstr. in the Gallusviertel district — honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you rather than wowing you at first glance. This three-star property has that reliable, no-nonsense vibe that frequent travelers actually appreciate. You know what I mean — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, which is refreshing in a city like Frankfurt where everything can feel a bit corporate and polished.
The Neighborhood
Gallusviertel is sort of Frankfurt’s up-and-coming area, though locals have been saying that for years now. What I like about staying here is that you’re close enough to the main business district without being right in the thick of all the tourist chaos. The neighborhood has this authentic German feel — you’ll find proper bakeries and local spots that aren’t just catering to visitors. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the main train station, which is actually perfect timing if you’re catching early flights or need to get around the city.
The Room Experience
The rooms are exactly what you’d expect from a solid business hotel — clean, functional, and surprisingly quiet given the urban location. I mean, they’re not going to win any design awards, but the beds are comfortable and there’s decent space to spread out your stuff. Each room has everything you need for a productive stay, and the Wi-Fi actually works well (which isn’t always a given, even in business hotels). The bathrooms are compact but well-maintained, with good water pressure — those little details matter when you’re traveling frequently.
Food That Actually Delivers
Here’s where this place really surprised me — the food is genuinely good. The continental breakfast spread is more generous than you’d expect, with proper German breads, local cheeses, and decent coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours. But it’s the other meals that really stand out. The hotel’s restaurant serves dishes that locals actually come for, not just hotel guests grabbing a quick bite. I’ve stayed at plenty of three-star places where the dining feels like an afterthought, but they’ve clearly put effort into this part of the experience.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
There’s something to be said for a place that has more repeat guests than most other properties — and you can feel that loyalty when you’re there. The staff recognizes returning visitors, and there’s this comfortable familiarity that makes business travel feel less impersonal. The private parking is a huge plus if you’re driving in Frankfurt (trust me, finding parking in this city can be a nightmare). Couples seem to particularly enjoy this spot, probably because it strikes that sweet spot between being professional enough for business trips but relaxed enough for a city break together. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable — and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Reviews of Goethe Business Hotel by Trip Inn
Youngdo from Germany – 2 March 2025 (6/10)
The facilities and cleanliness were very neat and excellent
What could be improved: The soundproofing was nonexistent, so I could hear people walking and other noises in the morning way too clearly, making it impossible to sleep.Hector from Mexico – 20 January 2025 (7/10)
Close enough to the center, and not so loud as in the city center.
What could be improved: Although the room was clean, it had a cigarretes smell. I know this is not the fault of the hotel, as there are no smoking signs everywhere in the room and fines for smoking. Most likely the previous guest smoked and got away with it… Maybe the smoke detectors should be updated. I also didn't like the internet connectivity, it was very poor. For a business hotel, this is definitely something to improve, as I had to use my hotspot to work.Ferenc from United Kingdom – 6 January 2025 (7/10)
Close to the motorway.
Joel from United Kingdom – 11 December 2024 (7/10)
Room was nice. Shower was good. A bit smaller than the photos though and not sound proof.
What could be improved: Location is a pain. Really remote and have to travel at least 20 minutes to get to the heart of frankfurt. Also not much nearby in terms of food / attractions.Abel from Germany – 4 October 2024 (8/10)
The receptionist was really nice.
Hao from France – 27 June 2024 (8/10)
Cleanness, helpful employees and not expensive, high quality breakfast. Air conditioned in the room.
What could be improved: Not easy to find a parking at this zone, but possibilities are there if you go further towards the garden area, there’s plenty of free parking places.Beatrice from Germany – 15 August 2023 (7/10)
Alright for a stay in between to get to where you need to be
Oddvar from Norway – 16 July 2023 (8/10)
Very clean and nice room
What could be improved: It looked like an old motel from the outside, but once we got inside it was great.Peter from Australia – 23 May 2023 (8/10)
Friendly staff, clean, roomy. Quality bed, bathroom.
What could be improved: The location is a little strange. One must walk about 300 metres to the U-bahn (tram), which is then an easy 10-minute ride into the town or the Bahnhof. Easy if you don't have bags and know what to do.
I would have liked coffee/tea making facility in my room.
The refrigerator was broken while I was there but that was just a one-off.Louh from Netherlands – 4 March 2023 (7/10)
the room is very confortable and space full! a real family hotel!
What could be improved: parking was a bit cloudy, less spaces!
